
Born into the music dynasty of the Escovedo family, Sheila is the world's most famous and sought after female drummer and percussionist. Best known for hit singles such as "Glamorous Life" and "Love Bizarre", Prince introduced Sheila E. as his favorite protege. Was the first female Music Director for the late night variety show, "The Magic Hour", hosted by Magic Johnson. Has also directed shows for Prince, Beyonce, TI, Jay Z, and Jennifer Lopez. Appeared in concert with Ringo Starr, Lionel Richie, Marvin Gaye, Brooks and Dunn, Diana Ross, Prince, among others. Nominated for Grammys and winner of an American Music Award and MTV Award to her credit. Currently working on the first ever E Family CD project, and was recently seen weekly on FOX's "The Next Great American Band" as one of the celebrity judges, created by the producers of American Idol.
